Kyle's Kamp Memorial Day Tournament
Tournament Background
This tournament started over Memorial Day weekend of 2011 in honor of Kyle Hahne who was diagnosed with Leukemia in October of 2010. It was founded to help raise money for pediatric cancer patient care and research through the Children's National Medical Center (CNMC). We started with 22 teams and raised $12,000. In 2011, we also elected to run a Columbus Day Tournament and raised another $11,000 for CNMC.
We committed to go big in 2012! That started with a commitment from the Washington Nationals. We ended up with 150+ teams and filled almost every age group while raising close to $450,000 for pediatric cancer patient care and research. More info can be found on Making a Difference page under the Getting Involved portion of this web-site. We have raised over $2,400,000 since 2012.
All of the money that is raised for the tournament goes directly to Children's National through the Donor Drive fundraising sites.
