On October 5th, 2010 I had not idea of any of the pediatric cancer facts below. On October 6th, 2010 everything changed:

- The average years of lost life for a child who dies of cancer- 71 years

- The amount of money the U.S. invests in the average child with cancer- $20,000
- The amount of money the U.S. invests in the average child with AIDS- $595,000
- Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death of children in the U.S.
- Only 2 new drugs in the last past 40 years have been developed for pediatric cancer
- Pharmaceutical companies don't invest in drugs for pediatric cancer because there isn't enough $ in it.
