IPad Program
One of the first initiatives at Kyle's Kamp was to provide tablets to local patients receiving treatment at the Hospital or Clinic. This started when Rob saw the advantages of having a tablet when Kyle spent 17 days in the Hospital after being diagnosed in October 2010. It can be very helpful for parents dealing with protocols and trying to communicate with family members. It is even more useful for the patients to keep their minds occupied and provide for many entertainment options (reading, games, internet...).
We were very excited to be able to contribute a large number of IPads to the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's National in 2011. Patients and parents can check these IPads out during treatment days.
